Where does the database of private company financial information come from?
Our firm belongs to the iLumen Financial Information Network, a leading provider of private company financial analysis services. Companies like yours anonymously contribute financial information to the iLumen benchmarking database by uploading a single file once per month from their accounting systems. You receive access to the benchmarking database when you upload your company's financial trends.

How do my financial trends remain anonymous?
The benchmarking reports present the aggregate averages of all companies in a selected peer group. Individual company results are never disclosed.

What makes these financial comparisons meaningful?
Peer groups are organized based on standard industry codes such as SIC or NAICS. Industry trends are updated every month with current information. The benchmarking feature allows you to select the metrics and views that best meet your needs. Choose from a variety of industry categories, then refine your selection based on geography, size and other attributes.
